I spent like 3 years hyperfixated on finding the perfect black slightly cropped jacket 😂. After sooo much Pinterest curating, I finally found mine this year at Me + Em, paying more than I ever have for a piece like that. But I do think when I’ve wanted something practical for multiple seasons it’s the right time to splurge, especially if I know it’s not a brand with many sales. For winter coats, though it’s almost a physical impossibility for me to not wait until Black Friday or end of season sales.
Don't you love when you are set on getting something and do an unreasonable amount of research into every option that exists? But yeah, I definitely think that when you find the perfect thing it is totally saving up a bit and splurging. Especially for a coat that could last you years!
I kept thinking about this post because apparently all I want to do is shop for fall/winter outerwear so I’m back with another comment 🤦🏻♀️😂. There’s a Sezane coat from a few seasons ago that still lives large in my imagination but I just could spend $500 even for the most perfect purple wool coat. So now I occasionally search Poshmark—no luck yet, but Sezane pieces are often resold and I’ve had luck finding other sweaters that way for prices that fit in my budget!
