5 makeup products I'm loving right now
Makeup that I've been wearing non-stop lately
We’re in one of the best times of the year of makeup - when the seasons finally start to transition and fall inspiration starts to hit me hard. This transitional time is my favorite time for beauty because I’m still able to enjoy all the products that got me through the summer - including all my bronziest and long lasting products, but I start to bring in more fall tones and introduce new textures.
In the spirit of being in the most exciting makeup season, these are 5 products I’m loving right now:
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Unlocked Palette - These face palettes come out every year for the holiday season, and this year’s version might just be my favorite. The cases are absolutely beautiful, ordering from the Hourglass website allows you to customize which case you get. I opted for the leopard case to go with the colors from the snake palette, which is also the most unique palette from the release as it has 5 new shades.I’ve been reaching for it everyday since I got my palette, and it’s a wonderful addition to my collection.
Persona Cosmetics DreamStick Cream Blush - Not a new product, but new to me, and they live up to the hype that they get. They have a creamy formula that isn’t too emollient and leaves a natural finish versus a dewy glow, which I prefer for my combination-oily skin. They last a decent amount of time without any setting, about 7 hours before it starts to fade. I have 2 shades - Bubble, a hot pink shade that leaves a really beautiful pink flush (applied in this reel), and Teddy, a very ‘me’ warm nude shade. The brand just released a couple more shades lately and I’m definitely interested in picking those up.
About Face Fractal Glitter Eye Paints - If you love a glitter shadow, these are going to be for you. As the name suggests, they have a beautiful fractal-like effect that radiants shine in a wet dewy way. All the shades have multidimensional and multi-colored shimmer, and are so easy to tap on top of another eyeshadow to instantly level-up my look. The lasting power of these is also fantastic on my oily eyelids. I have 4 shades, but my 2 most worn are Fracture, a bronze shimmer, and Smolder, which has a rosy base with blue shimmers.
Top to bottom: Fractal, Refract, Smolder, Tin Pan Alley Merit Signature Lip Lipstick in Cabo - Cabo is one of my all-time favorite lipstick, but peak Cabo season really is late summer-early fall. The red-orange shade is perfect for keeping the brightness of a summer shade, which bringing in some of the rusty tones I love for fall. I really love all of the shades in the line but I have reached for Cabo the most in the past few weeks. This is also one of my favorite formulas on the market because it is so comfortable to wear, feels like a balm, and never dries my lips out.
Byredo Liquid Lipstick Vinyl in Auburn - For a liquid lip option, this Byredo formula is one of my favorite and most comfortable to wear. They have a creamy finish to start and then set down into more of a stain. They’re not transfer-proof but they wear for a few hours, longer than most traditional lipstick bullets. I love them especially because of how comfortable they are to wear, and the shades are just beautiful. Auburn is this gorgeous deep reddish orange that I wear when I want more impact than when I wear Cabos.
